Mohali Civil Surgeon inspects drug de-addiction centre
Civil surgeon Dr Sangeeta Jain today morning paid a surprise visit to the Drug-de-addiction and Rehabilitation Center at Sector 66 and reviewed the facilities being provided to the patients there. She inspected the wards and interacted with patients admitted at the centre. She instructed the health officials to maximise the physical activity of patients so that their addiction to drugs could be eliminated forever. She also checked the staff attendance register.
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Director Dr Jasminder Kaur and State Vaccination Officer Dr Balwinder Kaur on Wednesday paid a surprise visit to the Civil Surgeon's Office and Civil Hospital, Rupnagar. They visited the DEIC, labour room and SNCU at the maternal and child ward, OPD wards of children, pregnant women, vaccination room cold storage point, etc. They assessed the maternal and child health services and also interacted with pregnant and new mothers regarding the health services being provided at the centre.
Dr Kaur interacted with the staff and directed to facilitate free treatment and counseling of children at the DIC centre. To pay special attention to cleanliness in the hospital, she said instructions regarding bio-medical waste should be strictly followed.
