Mohali, October 29
Residents have complained that they face inconvenience due to bad condition of road and dust on the stretch around Phase XI, NIPER, Mandi Board housing complex and Phase X.
Senior citizens living in the area often complain of breathing problems. Residents here alleged that the government laid sewer lines in the area, but did not repair the road after completion of the work.
Naginder Singh, a retired government servant, and a resident of Phase XI, said, “A patch close to 100 metre is damaged and full of
dust and gravel. Vehicles passing through this stretch raise dust, which causes problem to the people living in nearby residential societies.”
As the bad patch is at a junction, it can cause road accidents during the night time. People, who are unaware of the broken patch, are at the risk of losing control of vehicles here.
