Mohali reports four coronavirus deaths, 238 new cases

Just under quarter cases still active; 156 new recoveries

Mohali reported 238 new coronavirus cases and four deaths, district officials said---developments that take the district’s numbers to 8,939.

All four of those who died had pre-existing medical problems, and three were over 65 years.

A 50-year-old man from Manauli with liver problems died at Sohana Hospital. Two women, both 66, died at Patiala’s Rajindra Hospital. They were both diabetic, and one also had hypertension. The last fatality was a 70-year-old man from Chaumajra who was diabetic and had hypertension. He died in Ivy Hospital.

Mohali’s fatalities stand at 171.

Mohali Urban reported 78 new COVID cases, the most infections on Wednesday.

Kharar (40), Gharuan (25), Dhakoli ( 54), Dera Bassi (11), Banur (5), Boothgarh (7), Kurali (6), Lalru (12).

Mohali also reported 156 recoveries on Wednesday.

Just under a quarter of the district’s cases are still active.
