The BCCI has announced a massive renovation of at least five major stadiums in India ahead of the ODI World Cup in October-November.

The BCCI has decided to renovate the IS BIndra Stadium at a cost of Rs 79.46 crore. Earlier, the BCCI had shortlisted 12 venues for the World Cup matches, including, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, Mumbai and Ahmedabad (the likely venue for the final). However, Mohali was left out.
