Mohali sub registrar offices open on Saturday to clear backlog

To clear pilled-up pending work, the Sub Registrar and Joint Sub Registrar offices would remain open on Saturday in Mohali district.

Visitors can approach the Sub Registrars and Joint Sub Registrars offices from 9 am to 5 pm to get their registration work done.

Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain said the decision is taken to clear the backlog of registration of sale deeds, GPA, transfer, deeds, etc, adding that the Sub Registrar and Joint Sub Registrar offices would work 9 am to 5 pm in all tehsils and sub tehsils.

The tehsil offices at Mohali, Dera Bassi and Kharar, Sub Tehsil Offices at Zirakpur, Banur, Gharuan and Majri would offer services to the residents regarding registration of documents.

Revenue officials, who went on strike yesterday, have suspended it till December 5.
