The Customs Department and the police arrested a Ludhiana resident and recovered 832.23-gm gold foil hidden in a ladies shirt from his posession at the Mohali airport. In another case, two passengers coming from Dubai, who had hidden $ 1.31 lakh in clothes were also arrested. Two FIRs have been registered in this connection.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
