Mohali, November 18

The district administration will hold special camps for vaccination at all primary health centres and the Civil Hospital in the district to control the spread of Covid.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Himashu Aggarwal said in view of the directions received from Deputy Commissioner Esha Kalia, special camps for Covid vaccination would be organised on Saturday and Sunday (November 20 and 21) at all health institutions in the district.

The ADC said it was observed that vaccination reduced the Covid death rate. He appealed to people and all social organisations to take part in the special campaign.

Aggarwal said while almost entire eligible population in the district had been given the first dose of the Covid vaccine, they were working towards making all beneficiaries get their second dose as well. He said the district administration was also contacting persons who had not got their second dose yet. He said information regarding the vaccination camps was available on the district administration website www.sasnagar.nic.in.
