Industrialists from Mohali’s IT City today met Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Sanjeev Arora to express their gratitude and hail what they described as his “visionary leadership and unwavering support” in boosting industrial growth and transforming Mohali into a premier technology and investment hub.
In a joint communication following the meeting, the Mohali IT City IT Companies Association hailed a string of government initiatives that, they said, had set a new benchmark for ease of doing business and infrastructure development.
The association, led by its president Manipal Dhariwal, vice-president Jitin Talwar, general secretary Satinder S Bedi and treasurer Ashok Goyal, said the minister’s proactive approach had helped the region achieve several key milestones in a short span.
Among the notable achievements listed were the notification of the landmark Amnesty Policy 2025, operationalisation of CTU Bus No. 38-B to improve public transport access, establishment of a dedicated police post for IT City, and launch of a PSPCL call centre to handle electricity-related grievances. The association also appreciated the strengthening of the power network with a new 31.5 MVA transformer, approval of a new substation, and the issuance of tenders for street lighting and road upgrades to enhance safety and connectivity.
The industry leaders further welcomed the incorporation of their inputs into the Punjab Unified Building Rules 2025.
The association extended special thanks to senior officials for their “valuable partnership” in advancing the shared vision of building “Brand Mohali.”
