Mohali transport terminal zone to be converted into mixed land use
Representatives of government institutions, private sector, social sector and public sector have unanimously agreed to the Mohali District Town Planner’s proposal of converting the truck/transport terminal zone in Master Plan, New Chandigarh, falling within the revenue limits of Bharojian village and abutting HR-2 road, into mixed land use.
A think tank meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner was held at the DAC, Sector 76, to deliberate on the issue in which representatives of various government institutions, private sector, social sector and public sector participated.
It was finally decided to convert the truck/transport terminal zone in Master Plan, New Chandigarh into mixed land use,
The representatives were informed about the above proposal by the District Town Planner and their suggestions were taken. Thereafter, all the representatives unanimously agreed to the proposal presented by the District Town Planner.
Mixed land use mixed land use allows coexistence of residential, commercial, industrial establishments within the same area rather than distinct zones.
