Morinda man gets 70 years life imprisonment for axing wife, sister-in-law, nephew
Rupnagar, July 21
A Morinda resident, Alam, of ward number one on Sugar Mill Road here was sentenced to undergo three imprisonments for life by a Rupnagar court on Saturday for committing murders of his wife, sister-in-law and wife’s nephew, and causing injuries to another nephew.
The accused shall have to face a sentence of total 70 years.
On the night of June 3, 2020, Alam brutally murdered his wife, Kajal, sister-in-law, Jaspreet Kaur, and her son, Sahil, by inflicting injuries with an axe while they were asleep and attempted to murder her second son, Bobby, while staying at his wife’s parental home.
