Hit by vehicle, motorcyclist dies

A bike rider died after being hit by an unknown vehicle near Tarkhan Majra on GT Road in Sirhind today. The deceased has been identified as Aladdin. In a statement to the police, deceased’s brother Sultan Mohammad, a resident of Haibatpur village, stated that his brother was returning to the village from Sirhind on his motorcycle. When he reached near a poultry farm in Malikpur, a speeding vehicle hit his bike and he fell on the road and died on the spot.

The police registered a case against unknown vehicle driver and initiated legal proceedings into the matter. The body of the deceased was handed over to family members after a post-mortem examination at the Civil Hospital.
