Member of Parliament from Chandigarh, Manish Tewari, today joined H S Lucky, president of the Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee, at the Nagar Kirtan in Gurudwara Sahib, Sector 8-C, to mark the Prakash Utsav of Guru Ramdas Ji.
The two leaders offered ardas (prayers) and paid their respects before Guru Granth Sahib Ji, seeking blessings for peace, harmony and the welfare of all. They were warmly welcomed by members of the Gurudwara Management Committee, who honoured them with siropas (robes of honour).
Speaking on the occasion, H S Lucky said, “The teachings of Guru Ramdas Ji inspire humanity to live with compassion, equality and selfless service. Such celebrations strengthen the message of unity and brotherhood across communities.”
Manish Tewari expressed gratitude to the Gurudwara management and the Sikh sangat for their hospitality. He said the occasion reminded everyone of “the importance of preserving the values of humility, truth and justice as taught by the Gurus”.
