Murder accused seeks bail

Chandigarh, June 3

Barinder, one of the four accused in the murder case of a youth, Sandeep, in the Industrial Area, has applied for anticipatory bail in a local court.

In the bail application filed through advocate AS Gujral, Barinder claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case and was not present on the spot when the incident happened.

Barinder said that he was named by the complainant in the case only because of an old enmity. The police had opposed the anticipatory bail. The court will hear the arguments on his bail application on June 9. — TNS
