Nayab Saini launches cleanliness drive in Ramgarh, announces Rs 21L for devp
Chief Minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini visited the village chaupal (community center) of Ramgarh today as part of the “Gaon Chalo (Go to the Village)” campaign.
Offering prayers at Lord Shiva temple, Saini wished for the happiness and prosperity of the state’s citizens. He later participated in a cleanliness drive by sweeping the temple premises. He also extended greetings and best wishes to the people on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti and announced a grant of Rs 21 lakh for the development of Ramgarh village.
The CM said leaders must regularly visit villages to understand and resolve people’s issues, adding that the transformation brought about by development in Haryana over the past 10 years was visible to the public. Criticising the Opposition, he remarked that they used to visit villages, towns, and cities only during elections, making enticing promises to secure votes, but the public has now rejected them.
Today, with a “triple-engine” government in place, the CM said, development is progressing at triple speed. He further affirmed that his government would not allow any injustice to anyone.
Highlighting the transformation in infrastructure, Saini said the state’s roads have been revamped significantly over the past decade. Today, it takes only 45 minutes to travel from Ramgarh to Saharanpur.
Sharing his experience, he mentioned that over the past few months, approximately 1.5 lakh people have visited him at the CM residence, and the government has resolved the issues of around 75,000 of them.
Saini emphasised his government’s vision of a college within a 20-km radius of every house so girls do not have to travel far for higher education. He further added that the Haryana government is procuring all crops from farmers at MSP (Minimum Support Price). Infrastructure is also being developed for the benefit of farmers. The government plans to establish Asia’s largest mustard oil mill in Rewari and a major sunflower oil mill in Kurukshetra to benefit farmers in those regions.
Later, the CM visited the Community Health Centre in Ramgarh to inspect the healthcare facilities and took stock of the services available. He also interacted with young girls at the solar-powered Anganwadi centre, blessing them and distributing chocolates.
Dignitaries were present including Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, Vice Chairman of the Shivalik Board, Omprakash Deenagar, former Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, BJP District President Ajay Mittal, Mandal President Gautam Rana, former village head Deepak Sharma, and District General Secretary Virendra Verma were present at the occassion.
