Girl ‘molested’ by doctor
Zirakpur: A girl was allegedly molested by a doctor in the guise of physical examination at his private clinic at Baltana. The victim, a resident of Zirakpur, alleged that the doctor molested her when she had gone to his clinic for getting a medicine for fever. The matter came to light on Wednesday when the police received a complaint from the victim and initiated an investigation. OC

Chandigarh: Sanjay Tandon, National Council member of the BJP, held an online meeting during a “Netritva Sadhana” programme. He was a resource person from the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini, a non-profit organisation. He talked about his journey starting from the RSS and then joining the BJP. He talked about his college days, attaining Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant degrees. He discussed how PM Narendra Modi inspired him to join the Chandigarh BJP. BJP to distribute PM’s letter
Chandigarh: Chandigarh chapter of the BJP will distribute a letter that talks about “Atmanirbhar Bharat” written by Prime Minister Narendra Modi among residents. Revealing its plans for ‘Unlock 1.0’, local party chief Arun Sood told the media that a maximum of two people will undertake the activity of letter distribution and will avoid containment zones, quarantine centres and public places. Large scale distribution of face covers and sanitisers will contiune. All the party workers resolved to prefer Indian products. “About 1,000 virtual conferences will be addressed by the state leadership. Two held with 10-gm smack
Kharar: The police arrested Gurdip Singh from Nandpur and Parvinder Singh from Gapalon and recovered 10 gm of smack from their possession on Wednesday. Bhagwant Singh, Station House Officer at the Kharar City police station, said a case under the NDPS Act was registered. The suspects were remanded in one-day police remand by a local court. OC
