NGO ArriveSafe for reducing revised speed limits in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 22

Harman Singh Sidhu, president of NGO ArriveSafe, has written to UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore, seeking reduction in the maximum permissible speed limits in Chandigarh that were increased recently. Sidhu said: “We agree that simplification of speed limits was required, but this never meant the limits should be increased as it may lead to accidents.” — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
