The District Town Planning team carried out an operation in the Urban Area to remove illegal structures.

During this action, nine damp-proof courses were demolished in two colonies situated in Kona and Gorakhnath villages, Kalka. The operation was carried under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Monika Gupta and the leadership of District Town Planner Babita Gupta. Sharing details, Gupta said prior notices had been issued by the department, but as the defaulters failed to remove the illegal constructions, the department was compelled to take action. She added that if any construction or colony is developed without prior permission from the Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana, strict legal action will be taken against the violators. —TNS
