Mohali, March 26

No fresh case was reported from Mohali today while all 21 samples sent for testing turned out to be negative.

Sharing this information, Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said the Covid-9 count remained at five in the district, adding that the condition of all patients was improving.

Civil Surgeon Manjit Singh said they had sent 26 samples of persons, who were contacts of the confirmed Covid-19 patients. While 21 of them tested negative, the reports of five was awaited. He said their teams had been searching for foreign-returned passengers and the contacts of the previously tested positive patients in the district. The Civil Surgeon said information of 16 such foreign-returned persons had been received in the past two days and they, along with their families, had been home-quarantined. They all were asymptomatic, he added.
