Normal flight operations to resume today
From November 7 to 18, an 18-hour window will be operational at international airport
Normal flight operations will resume at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport here from Friday morning. From November 7 to 18, an 18-hour window will be operational, allowing flight service from 5 am to 11 pm, with a minor cut during low traffic hours.
The first flight arrival, from Pune, is scheduled at 5:55 am, while the first departure will be at 6:25 am to Hyderabad.
The last flight will arrive at 10:10 am from Jaipur and depart for Jaipur at 10:30 pm.
Flight operations had to be truncated at the international airport for a two-week period for maintenance and repair of the single-strip runway at the single-strip airport. However, the maintenance project has now been divided into phases.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) had allowed a seven-hour window for flight operations at the airport from October 26 to November 6 to facilitate passenger movement during the peak festival season. The runway was available for flight operations from 5 am to 12 noon daily but only two or three flights operated during that period.
