Best research paper award

Chandigarh: Dr Bhupinder Singh Bhoop, Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), and coordinator, UGC Centre of Excellence in Nano Biomedical Applicationsm, along with his research team, was recently selected for the Dr PD Sethi Best Research Paper Award for their research manuscript titled “QbD-steered development and validation of an RP-HPLC method for quantification of ferulic acid: Rational application of chemometric tools”, published in Journal of Chromatography B (Thomson Reuter Impact Factor of 3.04). The research work on pharmaceutical analysis and drug delivery encompassed in the said paper was carried out by Sumant Saini, a UGC meritorious research doctoral fellow working in the UIPS, under the supervision of Bhoop, along with two co-supervisors, Prof OP Katare (UIPS) and Professor SK Tripathi (Physics), and co-authors Dr Teenu Sharma, Dr Ranjot Kaur and Dr Asha Patel from Vadodara. Online Urdu calligraphy contest

Chandigarh: The Department of Urdu organised first ever Urdu calligraphy contest today, which saw participants from students and research scholars. Kamni Chaudhary, Aishwarya Bhatia and Manik Ahuja claimed top three positions, respectively in the contest. TNS

35,700 students appear in online exam

Chandigarh: Dr Jagat Bhushan, controller of examination, said around 35,700 students of undergraduate/postgraduate/other professional courses, including USOL/private, appeared on the Day 11 of online examination being conducted by Panjab University. TNS

He informed that a total of 133 exams were conducted today.
