Now, get duplicate power bill on WhatsApp

The Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has introduced a new consumer-friendly facility, enabling consumers to receive duplicate copies of their electricity bills on WhatsApp.

The consumers can avail of this facility by simply sending a message to CPDL’s helpline number 9240216666. By following the guided steps and providing their 14-digit account number, they can instantly receive their duplicate bill on WhatsApp.

Arun Kumar Verma, CPDL Director, said, “The initiative is aimed at simplifying the process for our consumers and enhancing accessibility.”

Before CPDL took over power distribution, consumers had to visit an e-Sampark Centre and pay Rs 35, including Rs 25 as e-Sampark charges to obtain a duplicate bill. After taking over, the CPDL made this service free.
