Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today launched the “Mhari Sadak” mobile application, a digital platform designed to enhance transparency, accountability and citizen participation in road management.

The app, equipped with GIS-based mapping, will allow citizens to report potholes, damaged roads and waterlogging in real time, ensuring swift redressal by concerned authorities.

Speaking at the state-level programme, Saini said the initiative marks a milestone in Haryana’s infrastructure drive. He emphasised that roads are the lifelines of development, not only connecting people but also fuelling economic growth.

“Our vision is to build a new Haryana where every citizen enjoys a better quality of life and where strong roads form the foundation of progress,” he stated.

The CM highlighted the Regional Road Upgradation Project launched last month in Hisar, under which 4,227 roads covering 9,410 kilometres will be repaired at a cost of Rs 4,827 crore. Over the past 11 years, he noted, Haryana has improved 43,703 kilometres of roads and built 2,417 kilometres of new roads. The state has also secured 21 new national highways, with 12 already completed.

Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa described the app as a tool to ensure public trust and accountability. Citizens can upload complaints with photographs, and officials will be required to complete repairs within fixed timelines, documenting progress through the app.

Officials added that training programmes will be conducted in schools, colleges, and universities to promote the app’s use. The state is also advancing its “Haryana AI Mission” to establish AI hubs and train over 50,000 youth in cutting-edge technologies.

Senior government officials, including former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Agarwal, attended the launch. The initiative, leaders said, will ensure transparency, strengthen public confidence, and place Haryana’s road network at the heart of its development agenda.
