Chandigarh: NSS volunteers of Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, distributed masks among visitors to the Sector 22 market. The purpose was to spread awareness about the precautions to be taken during these days while visiting public places. Chandigarh: Desh Bhagat University’s student branch and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers organised an online programme on “Implementing Lean Approaches: Administering Transfiguration Risks” in collaboration with IEEE SPAX of the US. Er SS Bhatia, managing director, The JAVS Mohali, shared his views on “Quality of Life Cycles”. Dr Adil Usman, Associate Member of MP-IDSA, Ministry of Defence, shared the various IEEE opportunities available for student branches. Chandigarh: Khel Bharti (Kreerda Bharti) has appointed Trideep Sharma president of Khel Bharti Chandigarh. He is at present practising law at the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Sharma is a professional taekwondo and tennis player. He has won a number of medals in senior state championships. TNS
Chandigarh Chess Association
Chandigarh: Dr Vipnesh Bhardwaj, honorary secretary, Chandigarh Chess Association, has been elected vice-president of the All-India Chess Federation for the term 2021-23. The elections were held on January 4. The office-bearers of the Chandigarh Chess Association and its members congratulated Bhardwaj.
