On the second day of the National Service Scheme (NSS) special camp at Panjab University, a talk on time management was delivered by Dr Anupreet Kaur Mavi.
She shared an analogy of water available and it’s usage.
Dr Ikreet Bal talked about tobacoo consumption and its ill-effects.
He explained why junk food is called junk. He encouraged the volunteers to be conscious of what they consume, how they consume and its effects on the human body.
He shared the effects of vaping and other smokeless products. Around 220 volunteers spearheaded a rally to spread awareness about ‘Swaach Bharat, Swaasth Bharat’ from University School Of Open Learning (USOL) to the Student Centre.
The volunteers cleaned the Student Centre as a token of their dedication towards a clean and green India.
In the afternoon, a poster-making competition was conducted on ‘Save Environment’. The sub-themes were save water, save air and save earth. Students divided themselves into teams of five members each and presented a poster. The posters were a symbol of enthusiasm and commitment.
