The National Testing Agency (NTA) informed candidates and parents that no decision regarding the postponement of NEET-UG entrance exam has been taken. It had come to the notice of the NTA that a fake public notice, dated June 15, with subject line ‘Postponement of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG July – 2020’, was being circulated through various sources and the social media forums.

“The NTA is investigating the source of the fake notice, which had an intent to misguide candidates, parents and public. Stringent action will be taken against such anti-public elements,” the authorities said.

In a statement on its website, the agency stated: “All candidates, parents and public are hereby informed that no such decision has been taken by the NTA or concerned authorities till date. Public is further being advised to be aware of any fake communication in this regard and rely only on the information available on the official website — www.nta.ac.in and ntaneet.nic.in.”
