As a preventive measure, the UT Administration has decided to extend the odd-even system in the congested markets of the city for another 10 days.

In an order, UT Adviser Manoj Parida stated that the shops in 11 congested markets, already following the odd-even system, would continue to follow it from August 15 to 24.

The Scooter Repair Market in Sector 43 will remain closed on all Sundays.

Apart from the 11 markets already following the system, the Electronic Market in Sector 18 has been asked to follow the odd-even system for 10 days, up to August 24, he added.

The scooter repair market in Sector 43 would remain closed on Sundays. The Sukhna Lake would remain closed for visitors on Saturdays and Sundays.
