One-time settlement scheme for Mohali property tax extended till Aug 15

In a bid to provide another opportunity for residents to clear their outstanding property tax dues without penalty and interest, the Punjab Government has extended the One-Time Settlement (OTS) scheme till August 15.

Sharing details, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Komal Mittal informed that the OTS scheme, which was earlier effective from July 1 to 31, 2025, received an overwhelming response from the residents across the district. As a result, the Municipal Councils of the district have collectively collected Rs 21.85 crore till August 1, 2025.

Breaking down the figures, the DC said that the Zirakpur Municipal Council led the collections by depositing Rs 13.59 crore, followed by Kharar with Rs 3.75 crore, and Derabassi securing the third position with Rs 2.26 crore.
