Charanjiv Singh, president of the CBM, said city dealers were in great trouble due to huge tax demands of old VAT assessment cases because of non-supply of ‘C Forms’ by purchasing dealers of other states.

Sanjeev Chadha, general secretary of the CBM, said this type of scheme had already been implemented in the neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and he also handed over a notification of the Himachal Pradesh Government for such scheme.

Parshottam Mahajan, patron, CBM, said the Administration should give relief to the traders by disposing of old cases in an amnesty scheme. — TNS
