Chandigarh, August 1
Online admission process for Class XI in government senior secondary schools here started today.
This year, a total of 42 senior secondary schools are offering 13,570 seats, including 3,080 in science, 1,980 in commerce, 6,720 in humanities and 1,790 seats in various skill courses (39 co-ed schools and three girls’ schools).
The last date for filling in the form is August 9. A centralised online admission portal has been developed and it will be managed by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).
The prospectus will be available and the registration form is to be filled in online at www.chdeducation.gov.in with a registration fee of Rs 150, payable online.
There is only one registration form for all streams. The students, who’ve passed Class X exam from the CBSE in 2022, will have their result integrated and therefore, there will be no need to scan and upload the detailed marks sheet.
The seats shall be allotted to the candidates in order of merit. After the display of a provisional common merit list of the students, the grievances (if any) of the students would be invited.
