Chandigarh’s Nidhi Gupta maintained third position in the women’s category in the ongoing Indian Online Carrom Challenge – 2021-22.
In the men’s category, City lad Mohammed Talib slipped to 14th place with 42 cumulative points (19+23).
Assam’s Abdul Jabbar and Mohammed Sheikh of Karnataka shared the top spot with 20 points (14+6) each.
Kavya Shree of Jharkhand led the women’s tally with 44 points (21+23) while Deepa Naik of Odisha moved to the second place with 48 points (20+28).
Nidhi could not do improve her tally in the second round league and maintain her third position with 54 points (25+ 29).
Another Chandigarh player, Sanya Chadha, gained a place to finish 14th after the second round.
City girls Vaidhavi and Sangini slipped to 18th and 34th positions, respectively.
In the men’s competition, Chandigarh’s Hassan (32+31), Gopal Kakkar (34+39) and Paras Arora (41+44) slid to 33rd, 40th and 44th positions, respectively.
A total of 88 players (47 men and 41 women) are competing in the league round matches.
