Open reading rooms till 2 am: Panjab University tells wardens

Panjab University (PU) has directed all wardens to open reading, visitors, common and dining rooms as per the requirement and convenience of residents till 2 am with immediate effect. The decision has been taken to help students preparing for the ongoing final examinations.

12 students suspended for three days

Meanwhile, 12 students have been suspended from the AC Joshi Library for three days by a monitoring committee, constituted by the Panjab University VC.

Sources said the students were suspended for protesting to open the library round-the-clock.
