Shiv Sena Member of Parliament Priyanka Chaturvedi today stressed the need for opposition parties to keep aside their ideological differences and work under one umbrella to strengthen the Indian democratic set up.
The Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra was speaking on during an online discussion on “Does India lack an effective opposition”. The event was held as a part of the ISB Leadership Summit 2021.
Dr Sanjaya Baru, political commentator and policy analyst, highlighted the importance of strengthening the foundational framework of the Indian Constitution and putting aside ideological differences and working along with the structure and set-up of the country.
AIMIM chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi called on opposition parties to work together and fight for what is right.
Congress MP Manish Tewari underlined that coalitions in the country had matured over the years and would play a more important role in nation building.
