Mohali, May 11
All incoming international passengers returning to the district in the coming days would be extended paid institutional quarantine facility by the district administration.
Mohali Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said this had been decided in accordance with the MHA guidelines. Each passenger, before boarding, had filled up an undertaking to abide by the same.
Dayalan said they had identified different categories of hotels and option would be open to foreign inbound travellers to check into his/her choice of hotel that had been shortlisted as an institutional quarantine facility.
Pertinently, two flights with native passengers returning from foreign shores are expected in the district in a couple of days.
Detailing the arrangements made for the people of Mohali, Dayalan said all such travellers would be de-boarded from their buses at a common central location, which, as of now, had been identified as Palm Banquets, Zirakpur. Later, they would be sent back to their respective homes where they would stay home-quarantined. However, high-risk travellers, if any, would be put in government quarantine facility.
