Palm Sunday marked with special service

The Christ Church (CNI) sector 18 congregation and Christian community celebrated the Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, with processions and special services commemorating Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

The Palm Sunday procession symbolises the joyful welcome Jesus received while riding on a donkey, with people waving palm branches. The day marks the beginning of Holy Week, leading up to Easter.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
