Panchkula Traffic Police have launched a special campaign to ensure road safety and adherence to traffic rules.Led by Surajpur Traffic Incharge, Sub-Inspector Narendra Kumar, the initiative aims to check for pending fines among vehicle drivers.
During the operation, the drivers are stopped and any outstanding fines are processed on the spot. ASI Anil Kumar stated that digital platforms like Paytm and other applications are being used to facilitate immediate fine payments through the drivers’ mobile phones. This ensures a quick and efficient process for clearing pending dues.
In addition, cases where fines have been sent to the virtual court are being settled on online portals. The ongoing campaign not only focuses on clearing pending fines but also seeks to raise awareness about traffic rules and road safety.
This campaign is being carried out as per the decision of the Haryana Police’s Additional Director General (Traffic & Highways) Office to strictly enforce Section 167(8) of the Motor Vehicle Act (11th Amendment) Rules, 2020, which mandates strict action against traffic violators.
DCP Traffic Mukesh Malhotra has instructed the Panchkula Traffic Police team to continue this initiative, emphasizing the need for a disciplined traffic system. The campaign aims to improve road safety, reduce violations, ensuring timely fine payments for a well-regulated traffic network.
