Panchkula DC Satpal Sharma inspects EVM, VVPAT warehouse

During the visit, Sharma checked the seal on the warehouse lock and examined the arrangements for EVM and VVPAT warehousing, including CCTV cameras, electricity supply and fire safety equipment. He also carried out an inspection of the first-level checking room. The DC reviewed the deployment of guards outside the warehouse and inquired about the security measures in place, recording his observations in the EVM log book.
The primary objective of this quarterly inspection was to ensure the security of electronic voting machines kept under the district administration's charge. After a thorough check, Sharma had the warehouse sealed under his supervision and the sealing re-verified.
Others present at the occasion were City Magistrate Jagriti, Naib Tehsildar Ajay Rathi, and political representatives: Rajendra Noniyal from BJP, Ravinder Rawal from the Congress Party, and Manoj Agarwal and Satish Kumar from JJP.
