Panchkula engineer in team that develops AI voice-testing system

An engineer hailing from Panchkula is among a team of three IIT-Bombay graduates that have developed Vocera, a system that automates the testing and evaluation of voice artificial intelligence (AI) agents, making it easier for companies to test their agents against simulated scenarios to save time and improve accuracy.

Shashij Gupta, the team member, said that they created an automated system to test AI voice agents against a variety of customer personas and give actionable insights, ensuring they respond accurately and effectively as overcome existing gaps in evaluation methods. This can save hundreds of hours in manual testing and reduce human errors, he added.

The team, which includes Sidhant Kabra and Tarush Agarwal, has been selected for Y Combinator, an American startup accelerator that provides $500K seed money to selected teams and has an acceptance rate of 0.1 percent of applicants. Voice AI technology is becoming increasingly essential across industries, from customer support to outbound sales.
