After receiving a series of complaints against local hospitals, the district administration today fixed treatment charges for Covid patients at private hospitals, nursing homes and clinics.

As per the protocol established by the administration, rates for private hospital beds will be all inclusive as a package. The package will include the cost of medical care of underlying comorbid conditions, including supportive care, oxygen and cost of medication for the duration of care for Covid-19.

The package includes all treatment, except remdesivir /tocilizumab and Covid test.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
