The event, held at the Convention Centre, Sector-1, Panchkula, aimed to recognise and honour the invaluable contributions of sanitation workers in the city.
The ceremony commenced at 9 am with the symbolic lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Municipal Commissioner RK Singh and District President Ajay Mittal attended as Guests of Honour.
The highlight of the event was a folk performance by renowned artist Mahavir Guddu, who enthralled the audience and conveyed messages of cleanliness, social awareness and patriotism. The ceremony featured the felicitation of numerous sanitation workers for their dedicated and exceptional service.
Additional highlights included a poem dedicated to sanitation workers, recited by young poet Rezyl Barog, a Bharatanatyam presentation by Varun Khanna’s team and a cultural performance by the children of Aasmaan Foundation.
The Municipal Corporation extended heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, honoured guests, sanitation workers and citizens whose participation ensured the event’s grand success.
