The police held a meeting on crime control at its Mansa Devi office today.

Police Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Arya chaired the meeting which was attended by senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic) Mukesh Malhotra, ASP Manpreet Singh Sudan, ACP (Crime) Arvind Kamboj and ACP (Headquarters) Vikram Nehra.

Discussions focused on tackling drug smuggling and other criminal activities in the city.

Crime branch officials were instructed to conduct patrols during specific hours to deter crimes such as theft and snatching.

Strategies to identify and apprehend drug traffickers were also reviewed. Residents have been encouraged to report drug-related information through a designated helpline.

The meeting also addressed efforts to nab fugitives and criminals carrying a reward on their arrest, with an emphasis on cooperation between crime branch units and local police stations.
