Panchkula, November 24

The district witnessed two more Covid fatalities during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 124, while 14 fresh cases were reported, taking the case tally to 8,396.

Civil Surgeon Jasjit Kaur said a 61-year-old man, a resident of Sector 25, succumbed to the virus. A 41-year-old man, a resident of Kalka, also died of the disease. Both had comorbidities.

Among the fresh cases, one each was reported from Amravati Enclave, DLF Valley, Kalka, Raipur Rani, Sectors 9, 21 and 25, two each from Pinjore and Sector 11, and three cases from Sector 15. The district has so far seen 8,396 positive cases and 7,807 patients have been cured. There are now 465 active cases, while 124 persons have succumbed to the disease. —TNS
