Panchkula’s Srishti scripts history, tops in Class X with perfect 100

Srishti Sharma of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, here has secured a perfect 100 per cent in the CBSE Class X examination to become the tricity topper.

The Sector 25 resident and daughter of Rajeev Sharma, a government employee with CITCO, Srishti credits her success to self-study and a strategy focused on deep reading. “I read every single word and didn’t leave anything out,” she shares. Calm and composed, Srishti’s dedication and self-driven approach have now become an inspiration for many. Her mother shared, “She has always been very focused. Though she chose the non-medical stream, she wanted to wait for her results before finalising her path.” With dreams of pursuing engineering from IIT Mumbai, Srishti has already begun her journey toward India’s top technical institution.

Another star from Panchkula, Yashasvi Bhav from Hansraj Public School, Sector 6, has emerged as the second topper with 99.8 per cent, along with Amisha Prakash of Delhi Public School, Sector 40. “I am thankful to my parents for their immense support. My sister, who works in a multinational company, is my source of inspiration. I am preparing for FIITJEE for a year now, and want to pursue none-medical to become a computer science engineer,” said Amisha. Gurnoor of St Joseph’s School, Sector 44, and Harshveer of Shemrock School, Mohali, scored 99.6 per cent to finish third. Meanwhile, the overall pass percentage of Chandigarh government schools increased to 81.18 as compared to 78.72 last year. This year, four schools — GMSSS 8, GMSSS 27, GMSSS 28 and GMSSS 35 — posted 100 per cent result. Arnav Sharma of GMSSS, Sector 21, topped the government schools with 97.4 per cent marks. For the Class X exam, a total of 8,971 boys and 8,387 girls appeared, of whom 7,858 (boys) and 7,504 (girls) passed. The overall passing percentage remains 88.50.
