The UT Administration has formed a committee to suggest simpler, more efficient and effective process for sanction of mutation, grant of occupancy certificate, no-objection certificate and other services at the Estate Office.
The committee was formed on the directions of the Supreme Court, said an official. It will submit its report to the UT Administrator within three months.
The Supreme Court in its order had observed that the residents of Chandigarh were widely harassed while seeking no-objection certificate for the sale of leasehold property.
