Panel to assess ground water of Chandigarh

Chandigarh, October 6

UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore has constituted an 11-member committee to assess ground water resources of the city.

The state-level committee will assess ground water recharge in accordance with the Ground Water Resources Estimation Methodology-2015 and estimate the status of utilisation of the annual extractable ground water resource. The committee will submit its report by February 28 next year.

The committee is headed by the Principal Secretary, Local Government, UT. — TNS
