With the announcement, code of conduct has also been imposed.

Meanwhile, the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) will lead as the ‘playmaker’ along with Legal Studies—as they combined have a majority of vote share. As per 2024 admission record, the UIET had 2,518 registered voters, the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) recorded 1,950 students and the Department of Law had 1,100 student voters. The total numbers of voters stood at 15,897 with 10,479 casting their votes.

“The numbers of voters are yet to ascertain considering the ongoing admission, but it’s most likely to remain more or less the same,” said the Dean of Student Welfare (DSW).

Out of the 62 departments, chemical engineering and technology (624), Dental Science (492), University Business School (477), University Institute of Applied Management (435), University of Pharmaceutical Sciences (421), physics (415), chemistry (409) and University Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism (402) were the main departments to hold good share of votes.
