Panjab University don to be visiting prof at Tashkent varsity

Dr Gurmeet Singh, Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, Panjab University, has been invited as the visiting professor at Department of Translation Studies and International Journalism, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS).

The TSUOS runs several courses, including study of Hindi literature, international journalism and translation studies. Established in 1918, this was the first oriental higher educational institution in Central Asia, which began to train qualified specialists in various fields of oriental studies.

Dr Gurmeet Singh has been the Chairperson of the Department of Hindi, Panjab University, from 2017 to 2020. In 2018, he was selected for deputation as ICCR Chair of Hindi Language at the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan.
