Panjab University seeks documentary proof to support Haryana’s claim

Panjab University issued a document asking for the “submission of documentary proofs in support of Haryana’s claim over the university and its governing body”.

The office of Dean Student Welfare in a notification said, “The students and citizens of Haryana making representations must provide supporting documents related to their demands. Next meeting of the committee be convened after receiving the documentary proof in support of their representation.”

A meeting of the committee constituted by the Vice Chancellor was held at the DSW office on November 17, discussing the appeal for restoration of Haryana’s historical, legal and constitutional representation in Panjab University. It also demanded implementation of Reservation Policy as per UGC Guidelines in the Senate, the Syndicate and other governing bodies.
