Paras stars in Warriors’ win over Mavericks in T20 tournament
Wild Woods Warriors recorded a 28-run victory over Manohar Mavericks during the ongoing Chandrashekhar Azad T20 Tournament at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3. Batting first, Warriors posted a competitive total as Aarush Bhandari (70) and Nipun Sharda (45) made important contributions. Paras played a blistering cameo of 23 to steer their inning at 221/6.
In reply, Mavericks fell short in their chase and managed 164/6. Paras (3/18) remained the pick of the bowlers for the side. Abhishek Singh (80) failed to deliver the result in favour of Mavericks. Bhagmender Lather (53) also scored a half century.
In the second match, Talanoa Tigers crushed Punjab Panthers by 102 runs. Batting first, the Tigers posted 161/5, powered by a century by Devang Kaushik (100 off 62 balls with eight boundaries and five sixes). In reply, Punjab Panthers crumbled under pressure and were bundled out for mere 82 in 16 overs with Ankit Kuashik (30) and Vikas Kumar (24) remaining the top scorers for the side. Vishu Kashyap (3/28) claimed maximum wickets for the bowling side.
Warriors dominate the table with six wins in seven matches, while Tigers follow with four wins at second position and Challengers stand third with three victories.
