Pardeep, Yashkeerat win fencing gold

Pardeep Kumar, Sandeep Thapa and Atharv Monga claimed top three positions, respectively, in the men’s epee event during the concluding day of the Chandigarh State Fencing Championship. Inderdeep Singh shared the third position with Monga.

In the men’s foil event, Kamal Joshi claimed the first position, followed by Pranshu Sharma. Suraj and Prateek claimed the joint third position. Kulraj Panav Sharma won the sabre event by defeating Anish Thakur. Harsh Dhaka and Medhansh Duggal Jain finished joint third.

In the women’s epee final, Yashkeerat Kaur Hayer and Sangita Pujari claimed the top two positions, respectively. Sanchi Bhargava, along with Harleen Shahi, finished at third position. Mahira Batheja won the foil event, followed by Pranshi Arora. Shiviya Arora shared the third position with Harshika Sharma.
