In a press release, Dr Sachin Bansal said, “India will soon have the highest number of cases of cardiovascular disease in the world. Also 27 per cent of deaths in India are caused by cardiovascular diseases.” He shared that this year’s World Heart Day theme ‘Don’t Miss a Beat’ encourages individuals to be proactive and vigilant about their heart health by not ignoring warning signs, getting regular check-ups, and maintaining a heart-healthy lifestyle.
